Surprise Project

Our one and only sister Kaye Baugh has years of crafting experience and has kindly offered to donate some fun craft ideas. It's a little last minute so much of the supplies you'll need to bring on your own to create them. We have listed what materials each project needs and put *provided next to the stuff we'll have. Also there will be fabric from the flower craft which could be used as well if there's enough scraps. If anyone is interested here are the projects and details:

Pop up Dolls (pictured above)
Materials, most you'd need to bring);
Cone (provided)
Cloth/fabric
Ribbons/trim/ricrac
A dowel (we'll have a little handsaw to cut them if needed)
Wooden doll head (bead that will go on your dowel, you could paint your own face on them)

Plush Dolls
We only have enough cut to make 6, but you can buy 1inch foam to cut out your own doll shape. You would need about a little more than a foot square piece of foam to cut out the body.
Materials;
Foam body (6 available)
Fabric
Embroidery Thread
Yarn
Anything else you want your doll to wear
**she has patterns for a clown, doll, sleeping baby, bear, bunny or lion.

Rattle Snake
Materials;
Juice cans 5 (you can't use TP rolls cause they'll just smooth, juice cans are more durable)
Fabric
Yarn
Beads or beans to put in cans for the noise making
Felt for eyes

It was really exciting for this sweet sister to offer these ideas. Again, it's pretty last minute so there may have to be another random fun craft day where we do them! These are great crafts for little kiddos or grandkids or a child at the hospital.  Thanks Kaye for your suggestions!

Festive Friday

Crafting + Good Food = A Lovely Night

We are getting ready for a wonderful night of both!

And what a fine group of women to get to spend it with. The Idaho Falls 24th Ward is a diverse and talented group of ladies that strive to strengthen their testimonies of Christ and be of service in their homes, church, and community. Belonging to a sisterhood is so important and we are so blessed to be able to meet together oft and share in talents and faith. This evening will be a special night to welcome in the Festive season we are coming into. With Holidays and the Change in Seasons we will celebrate by doing some fun festive crafts and enjoy eating soups, salads and bread! What a wonderful way to welcome fall and bring warmth to each others lives.
